Earlier this year a petition was launched in the UK for the UK Government to appoint a UK Manufacturing Industry Expert. Thank You to Andrea Wilson for doing this.

The petition can be found on the Petition Parliament website https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/710642

As of today, 10th April 2025 we are almost 2 months into the signing of the petition and it will run for another 4 months.

There are 1,119 signatures on it.       The UK Manufacturing workforce is estimated at 2,700,000.

That means just 0.04% of the UK manufacturing workforce has signed it.  0.04% is that the best we can do?

It has mostly been found on Linkedin and featured in online articles to date.

We can be taken seriously, we can’t expect to get a UK Manufacturing Industry Expert if we don’t sign it.
